Concepting & (Rapid) Prototyping

Prototyping and concepting form the crucial bridge between strategic insights and the final user experience. From exploring new directions with 'test balloons' to creating detailed, interactive prototypes with 'high-pressure' deadlines, my approach is always focused on de-risking projects.

By making ideas visual and interactive, I can quickly validate them with users and gather feedback from stakeholders. The result is a clear, shared vision that streamlines the design process and lays the groundwork for successful implementation.

To outline a vision for the future of the client portal, I developed a concept that is unconstrained by current technical limitations. This strategic project was designed to inspire stakeholders and create a shared vision for how clients could interact with candidates in the future.

This is not a project plan, but a conceptual exploration of what the user experience could look like if we were free to imagine the possibilities.

Client Portal V10, future vision

For users who only occasionally submit a request for personnel, the traditional, form-driven flow can be complex and overwhelming. I therefore developed a concept that offers this user group a significantly simpler experience.

Instead of a heavy forms flow, this concept proposes a conversational user interface. This approach replaces complex fields with an intuitive, step-by-step dialogue, similar to a chat conversation.

A new approach to the application process: the candidate flow as an intuitive conversational experience.

In response, I developed a compelling concept that visualizes this new, mobile-first strategy. This concept was not a product plan, but a visual argument demonstrating how a mobile-first approach would not only significantly improve the user experience but was also essential for the project's long-term viability. The concept showed how a complex request for personnel with flexible schedules could be transformed into an effortless, intuitive experience on a mobile phone.

The result was successful buy-in from all stakeholders, who recognized the strategic value of the proposed direction and gave the green light for the project's continuation with a clear focus on mobile.
