About me
✅ 10 years UX Design experience
✅ 25+ years experience in the Design Industry
✅ Hands on experience from research to implementation
I am a Senior UX Designer with a strong focus on translating complex user and business needs into clear, intuitive digital experiences. With more than eight years of experience across cross-functional teams, I operate at the intersection of research, strategy, and interaction design.
My approach is grounded in a human-centred mindset. I combine qualitative and quantitative insights to define problems accurately, explore solution directions, and guide stakeholders toward well-supported decisions. I enjoy shaping the bigger picture and establishing a shared vision, building design systems, and structuring processes that help teams move forward with clarity.
Collaboration is central to how I work. Whether partnering with product managers, developers, fellow designers, or researchers, I help teams align on priorities and translate ambiguity into actionable steps. I am comfortable facilitating workshops, presenting to leadership, and bringing diverse perspectives together to drive product outcomes.
I am at my best when dealing with complexity. I break down abstract challenges, synthesize information rapidly, and create structured, thoughtful solutions. My experience extends across the full product lifecycle, from early-stage discovery to delivery and continuous iteration.
Ultimately, I aim to design experiences that are not only usable, but meaningful solutions that reflect real user needs and create measurable impact for the organisation.
I thrive in environments that value curiosity, critical thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Experience with:
Leading Large-Scale Projects
I have extensive experience leading large-scale UX initiatives that span multiple teams, stakeholders, and product areas. I help define a clear direction, maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle, and ensure that design decisions remain consistent and scalable as scope and complexity increase.
Working in Complex Environments
I am comfortable operating in complex organisational and technical environments where constraints, dependencies, and competing priorities are part of daily work. I am able to navigate ambiguity, identify core problems, and translate complexity into structured, actionable design solutions.
Mentoring and Supporting Junior Designers
I actively support the growth of junior designers through mentoring, design reviews, and constructive feedback. By coaching on both craft and process, I help designers build confidence, improve decision-making, and contribute more effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Agile and Iterative Way of Working
I have strong experience working in agile environments, collaborating closely with product owners and development teams in iterative cycles. I align design activities with sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous delivery, ensuring that design remains both strategic and pragmatic.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaboration is central to my way of working. I partner closely with designers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align on goals, balance user needs with technical feasibility, and drive shared ownership of outcomes.
Contributing to and Scaling Design Systems

Beyond Design: Aikido & Community
🥋 Aikido has been an important part of my life for over 20 years.
I practice two to three times a week in Amsterdam and regularly train at a befriended dojo in Uithoorn. Over the years, Aikido has shaped not only my physical discipline, but also how I approach leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Within the dojo, I am actively involved beyond training alone. I teach classes, mentor students, and contribute to the long-term growth and visibility of the community. Recently, I designed and launched a new website for the dojo, focusing on clarity, accessibility, and conversion.
🏆 This resulted in tangible impact:
A significant increase in trial lesson sign-ups
#1 Google page ranking for “Aikido Amsterdam” and “Dojo Amsterdam”
Aikido emphasizes balance, awareness, and respectful interaction—principles that strongly align with my approach to UX design. Whether on the mat or in product teams, I value continuous improvement, thoughtful communication, and creating environments where people can grow.
